Created by Guerlain Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser, Patchouli Ardent originally debuted in 2020 within Les Absolus d’Orient before joining the House’s current Absolus Allegoria presentation.
Top Notes
The fragrance opens with fig, pink pepper and black pepper.
Fig introduces soft, rounded fruitiness, while pink pepper adds sparkling spice. Black pepper brings dry warmth and intensity that prepares the composition for its patchouli-centered heart.
Heart Notes
At the heart are patchouli, cedarwood and Turkish rose absolute.
Patchouli forms the deep woody-earthy core, cedarwood adds polished dry structure, and Turkish rose absolute introduces rich floral luminosity that brightens the traditionally darker character of patchouli.

The composition settles into leather accord, musk and Ambrofix.
