Vibrant citrus and turmeric evoke the colourful energy of an Indian market, while the bottle plate takes inspiration from hypnotic motifs found on temple ceilings.
Its story also draws on the sacred South Indian city of Madurai and the legend of divine nectar falling from Shiva's hair, with references to the Meenakshi Temple, Indian jasmine, turmeric and the vivid colours surrounding the city.
Created by perfumer Gaël Montero, Madurai was launched in 2022. Specialist fragrance sources classify it as a Unisex Floral fragrance dominated by white florals and jasmine, with fruity, spicy and woody facets.
