Master Perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin selected an oud extracted from 80-year-old trees using traditional methods, chosen for its leathery, animalic, woody and ambery character. Violet leaf then brings green floral softness, lightening the texture of the oud.
The fragrance draws on Yves Saint Laurent's long-standing use of black leather as a symbol of rebellious refinement, balancing toughness with elegance.
